Choosing a topic for the e-portfolio is tricky because it can shine or it can fail. My choice was depending on what I like and connected to my culture, which was great. I choose to present Islamic art in my e-portfolio; will I say it was the best choice for me? Yes, because I like to read about art and I like drawing, but it was my first drawing using Islamic art. The topic also presented a beautiful part of Islam, where its inspired from nature and shapes.

 

            If I hade the chance to re-choose the topic for my e-portfolio, I will choose a topic connected to food rather then art. Food topic is better because it looks more fun and easy to fined creative ways to present. The topic I choose is limiting to they way you can present it. So if I hade the chance to re-do it all over I will choose something connected to food. The choice to go with art and culture is not that bad I learned many things about Islamic art.

 

            The research of my topic went well but not as I wanted I was hoping for more summarized information. That can be presented to people who are hearing about it for the first time.  The information provided for the topic is mostly technical and for people who study art. Pictures related to the topic are difficult when I was trying to draw for the e-portfolio, but it was easy to find it decoration places. In every research of new topic will have some difficulties but it can be overcome by reading more.

 

             Something’s didn’t go well during the research process I faced some obstacles that made the research go slowly. After submitting the e-portfolio the first time I wanted to finish the seconded fast but didn’t have the skills that was needed.

One of the requirements was the screen cast that I didn’t know how to download on my PC so that I can use it. After I have downloaded the program I hade to create a YouTube account to be able to upload it on the Wix web. After the problem of the video was resolved I hade to design a rubric. The rubric was challenging because it was my firs time making one and I hade to think according to the college scale to make it more professional.

 

            My e-portfolio is great but if I hade to improve things to make it perfect. I will say that I will provide more information rather then relaying on the pictures to demonstrate the topic. The organization of pages will change a little to make it easier to access with fewer subpages. Overall the ending product I have done satisfies me all needed tasks are covered I even designed the background for the e-portfolio my self, using paint a simple program.

 

            The e-portfolio has shown many of my characteristics but there are something’s that just shine. The designed and the amount of effort placed on making every thing look good and easy and accessible. I tried to use things we learned in class to make my e-portfolio more unique and advanced. I think that my e-portfolio shows a good understanding of the objective of this project and its connection to being a future teacher. To use technology to document and share work with others with easy accesses is what I have shown in my e-portfolio.

            The most important part in the e-portfolio is beaning able to communicate your ideas using different kind of media. We have learned how to make a podcast, screen cast, photograph, and create a rubric. Using different ways to communicate information help me as a future teacher to understand that I need to provide different teaching material. Having different martial will help my students understand the subject and when it’s accessible like an e-portfolio everyone can benefit from it.

 

            Making an e-portfolio depending on the topic can be easy or hard, in my case I think it was interesting. I learned many things but hade the opportunity to show my skills and I think its will benefit me in the future. In end of this great experience I can say that I will be using e-portfolio for future projects because it shows that you’re creative and unique. An e-portfolio can easily be a college material project and also for professional workers. It uses technology in a smart way and beneficial.
